Chief Executive Officer and President - Gunvir S. Baveja
Mr. Gunvir S. Baveja is the President and Chief Executive Officer of eVigilant, Inc. His primary focus is on leading the strategic growth and direction of the firm, while ensuring the highest stakeholder satisfaction fostered through a passion for service and quality. Mr. Baveja, along with his experienced executive team, shares a common drive for excellence, and works closely with clients and industry partners to deliver on eVigilant's mantra of service, innovation, performance and high value integrated security solutions for both the Government and commercial clients. With his leadership, eVigilant has been recognized by Inc magazine in 2007 and 2009 for excellence and amongst the top security companies by the Washington Business Journals in 2007.
Mr. Baveja is a principal security engineer by profession and provides both executive and technical leadership at eVigilant. Mr. Baveja has over 17 years of experience in the industry and has worked in firms such as MCI, LCC, Lucent, and Sprint. He has brought in senior management to help fulfill eVigilant's goal of providing its valued clients with high-value, comprehensive security solutions suite. Mr. Baveja's goal is to make eVigilant into one of the nation's top security companies to help clients with their cyber security and physical security needs, making eVigilant unique in offering its client a one-stop-shop for all of their integrated security needs. Together with his management team, he is working hard on continually keeping up with industry trends, and providing the best qualified team of professionals to provide high-value security services and offerings to eVigilant's clients and helping them implement cost-effective ways to minimize their overall risk posture.
Mr. Baveja has a proven track record of helping clients align their business objectives with their technology plans and has served as a trusted security advisor to many executives in the DC metro area. He also has an excellent track record of implementing integrated security solutions to help minimize risks and optimize the overall security posture for clients. Mr. Baveja holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering from Polytechnic University.
Chief Operating Officer and EVP - Raj S. Leyl, MBA, PMP
Raj S. Leyl serves as eVigilant's Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. In this role, he provides executive leadership in ensuring that all services are delivered consistently using eVigilant's proven project management engagement methodology. He also helps to oversee and streamline eVigilant's business and IT operations and is responsible to scale processes to support the company's growth. Mr. Leyl has over 18 years of IT, operations, and project leadership experience, half of which were spent implementing operational processes to support Project Management Offices (PMO) at organizations such as American Airlines, Avis, State of Maryland Judiciary, and Mentor Technologies. Leyl has also successfully led large-scale enterprise projects for Fortune 500 firms, non-profit organizations, as well as state and federal government agencies.
Most recently, Mr. Leyl was at the Internal Revenue Service, where he was appointed by the Secretary of Treasury and IRS Commissioner in 2008 to provide executive leadership and strategic vision for the agency's e-services initiatives including e-file and e-authentication. He served as a Director of Strategy, Planning, and Policy within the Electronic Tax Administration division, and was instrumental in helping to further strengthen the security posture of the online tax preparer eco-system and initiating the agency's enterprise e-strategy to improve service to the agency's constituents.
Adhering to fundamental project management processes, Mr. Leyl is a strategic planner with exceptional follow through and implementation skills. He has a proven track record of introducing strategic project management principles to organizations to help select the right initiatives, aimed at optimizing the portfolio of IT initiatives so as to maximize return on investments.
Mr. Leyl has been successfully helping clients to align their technology with business plans and works with executives to help them become better project leaders. He also has an excellent track record of implementing re-engineered business processes to help improve performance, streamline operations, reduce costs, mitigate risks, and increase revenues. Previously, Mr. Leyl also worked at BAE Systems, Inc, where he was a principal consultant within the applied program management solutions and strategic consulting practice. He served as a program manager at the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) where he worked in the GoLearn program office, and was responsible for leading the program's largest, high-profile projects. This program, which is on the President's Management Agenda (PMA), is tasked with consolidating and standardizing e-learning solutions across all Federal agencies. He successfully worked to implement a comprehensive, large-scale enterprise Learning Management System at the Internal Revenue Service. Mr. Leyl has also held management and project management positions at American Airlines, marchFIRST, State of Maryland Judiciary, and Mentor Technologies (a Cisco preferred partner). In the mid 90s, he was hired into the American Airlines' highly selective "MBA Fast Track" program and served within the Cargo Division, where he was groomed by senior management to get a broad perspective of the airline's cargol logistics and IT operations and led the implementation of a nationwide cargo logistics management, tracking, and booking system.
Mr. Leyl holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business, a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Information Systems from the University of Maryland, and holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMI.
Director of Operations - Wayne Daugherty
Wayne Daugherty serves as eVigilant's Director of Operations, responsible for all new system installation, service, preventive maintenance and quality assurance efforts. In this role, he coordinates highly visible projects, to ensure regulatory compliance, budget controls and quality assurance. Mr. Daugherty has over thirty years of experience performing, supervising, managing and administering all aspects of security systems integration from design, implementation, execution, quality assurance, customer satisfaction, engineering and all other facets of a projects and programs in the industry. He is a respected industry veteran with the experience to manage a security integration operation of any size.
Mr. Daugherty comes to eVigilant from Kastle Systems, where he managed projects involving up to thirty security professionals. He served as the Director of Systems Integrity, Mid-Atlantic Division responsible for all Service, Preventive Maintenance and Quality Assurance efforts. He also enforced compliance with company policies and procedures, with an emphasis on quality control and the Electrical, Building and Life Safety Codes.
Motivational leader and team member, he is uniquely qualified in project implementation and leadership with attention to quality assurance and regulatory compliance. Mr. Daugherty has successfully managed projects including Army Corps of Engineers, Humphries Base, National Rifle Association, Lincoln Square, Watergate Complex, Reston Town Center, Accenture, and Offices of the President-Elect.
Mr. Daugherty has his National Electric Code Certification from the Columbia Technical Institute, HILTI Fire Stop System Certification, and OSHA Certification. He completed his Journeyman Electrician education with the Virginia Electrical Apprenticeship Program.
